The project:

The new PSA Peugeot Citroën car storage area covers a total area of 72,000 m2 and has a capacity of 2,500 cars. The project was carried out at the Peugeot Citroën factory in Chartres de Bretagne, western France, in 2003.

 

The Fibertex Solution:

To stabilize the subbase and prevent migration and mingling of materials still allowing free movement of water, Fibertex F-320 was installed between the construction layers as a separator.

By using a geotextile in the structure, significant material savings are achieved, ensuring a cost-advantageous and environmentally-responsible solution.

Geotextile functions:

To ensure the stability of the construction a geotextile is placed between the construction layers to prevent migration and mingling of materials, yet allowing free movement of water.

A geotextile with high static puncture resistance to resist the strains of installation (large stones)

and use in general is decisive for the load-bearing capacity of the construction. This in combination with the right filter and separation properties creates a strong structure with a long lifetime.

 

Fibertex F-320 was chosen for the project.
